Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about Pregora pregnancy calculators, accuracy, privacy, and medical sources.

Are all the pregnancy calculators on Pregora free?

Yes. Every pregnancy calculator, ovulation tool, IVF due date estimator, and baby tool on Pregora is 100% free to use. We do not require an account, email signup, or any form of payment to access any tool on this site.

How accurate are the pregnancy calculators?

All Pregora calculators are built on published medical guidelines from the Institute of Medicine (IOM), American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), and the World Health Organization (WHO). Each tool page lists the exact sources used. However, calculator results are estimates — only a healthcare provider can confirm pregnancy details with clinical precision.

Do you store or share the data I enter into the calculators?

No. Every Pregora calculator runs entirely in your browser. Your last menstrual period date, weight, height, embryo transfer date, ultrasound measurements, and any other input never leave your device. We do not store, transmit, or share calculator inputs with anyone.

Which medical guidelines does Pregora use?

We use Institute of Medicine (IOM) 2009 guidelines for pregnancy weight gain, ACOG Committee Opinion #700 for due date estimation, WHO child growth standards for baby percentiles, CDC growth charts for children over 2 years, and ASRM practice guidelines for IVF dating. Sources are cited on every tool page.

Can I use these pregnancy tools on my phone?

Yes — Pregora is built mobile-first. Every calculator works smoothly on iPhone, Android, and tablet devices. Pages load in under one second on mobile networks, and there are no popups or sign-up walls to interrupt your use.

How is a pregnancy due date calculated?

The standard method (Naegele's rule) adds 280 days to the first day of your last menstrual period (LMP), assuming a 28-day cycle. For irregular cycles, IVF pregnancies, or ultrasound-confirmed dates, the calculation is adjusted. Our Due Date Calculator handles all four methods.

What is the difference between IVF and natural pregnancy due date calculation?

With IVF, the embryo age and transfer date are precisely known, so the due date can be calculated more accurately than with last menstrual period (LMP) dating. Pregnancy is counted as 266 days from conception (egg retrieval). Our IVF Due Date Calculator handles Day 3, Day 5, Day 6 transfers plus fresh and frozen (FET) cycles automatically.

How often is Pregora updated?

We update tool calculations whenever underlying medical guidelines change, and review every blog post for accuracy quarterly. Each page shows a 'last updated' date so you always know how current the information is.
